We believe that palliative care is essential to not only cancer patients but to all those suffering from pain. We are increasing awareness about the need for palliative care in South Gujarat by partnering with Pallium India, led by Padmashri Dr. M. R. Rajagopal, based in Trivandrum and with doctors at Tejani Cancer Institute in the New Civil Hospital campus in Surat.

 

We facilitate training of nurses and doctors at TCI in palliative care by qualified faculty from Pallium India and establish OPD hours for needy patients to avail of pain medication at various stages of their illness.

 

We are mindful of the fact that end-of-life patients need dignity and compassion and should have access to palliative care without obstacles. Our goal is to provide mobile palliative units with qualified team members to help those patients suffering from pain that are not able to reach a hospital or clinic for pain medication.
